Inner happiness as a Muslim

4 Steps to Inner Happiness

It's through constant reminders and connection to Allah the Almighty that our hearts find peace. The peace that will bring us inner happiness. But, how can we connect:

*Pray regularly
*Pause and Reflect daily, for example, journaling
*Connect to a community that serves you
*At least 1 act of self-care a day

Allah tells us that if we take a step toward Him, He will come running toward us. He, swt, is the most merciful and generous. No matter how far we are, if we turn to Him, He will be there ready to listen. Subhan Allah. Have you felt your heart beat differently when you work on your connection to the Almighty? Have you felt a difference in your spirit when you engage in daily prayer, and constant reminders?

Do you take time out of your day to pause? Or are you constantly running around trying to fit in too much without a moment to breathe?

I know as busy women some days feel like that. Constantly on the go. No time to listen to your own body or your own needs. But MAKE time. Even if just 5 minutes. Take a break. Take 5 minutes to journal, and jot down your feelings. Check-in with yourself. Feel the difference it makes to your day, bi'ithnillah.

I know life as a revert can feel lonely. When you revert to Islam, maybe you lost a friendship group...or needed to find sisters that fit in with your new beliefs and lifestyle. Connecting to like-minded sisters whether online or in person is such a mood booster. Subhan Allah. Sharing, supporting, and connecting. It all makes things a little easier. That's why The Revert Channel was founded, as a space to connect, find support, and a community. Have you joined us yet?

Lastly, but by no means least, self-care! When was the last time you did something just for yourself? Whether it was a peaceful walk in nature, a cup of tea in the garden, half an hour with a good book- whatever takes your fancy. Treat yourself, and make time for yourself. You cannot keep giving from an empty pot.

May Allah bring you inner happiness and contentment. May He bring you connections to yourself and sisters who will be a blessing in this life and the next. Ameen ya rabb.
